Male Fertility Diagnostics, LLC is a CLIA approved/CAP certified diagnostic laboratory where the tests that make up the Male Reproductive Health Panel MRHP have been performed for over 9 years at our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida location. With over 30+ years in the field of reproductive medicine, Dr. David Brown Founder/President of Male Fertility Diagnostics, LLC, and Inventor of the MRHP*, oversees all aspects of performing the Male Reproductive Health Panel (MRHP) of tests from receiving samples through final reporting of results.
*Dr. Brown has multiple patents and publications regarding this novel and comprehensive panel of tests that make up the MRHP.
The most recent patent:
October 13, 2015: United States Patent No.: US 9,157,909 B2: "Male Reproductive Health Panel and Uses Thereof."
The MRHP of tests detects the highest % of male factor infertility compared to any stand-alone tests. Approximately 45% of fertility clinic couples will be identified with having male factor issues. Male factor issues that may include varicocele(s), exposures to environmental and/or occupational reproductive toxicants and/or reactive oxygen species (ROS), that if identified and treated can improve the odds for a live birth, while minimizing your patients' emotional and financial impact.
Standard semen analysis provides basic parameters such as sperm morphology, motility, and count, but provides minimal information on male factor infertility issues. The MRHP was developed to evaluate sperm functionality and genomic integrity issues/male factor infertility. When performed during the initial patient work-up along with the semen analysis, we provide fertility specialists with test results that help in determining the 'best' treatment algorithms for their patients. Our tests do not require fresh semen samples, so your clinic can send samples collected during a 5 day interval in one shipment. Clinics sending 5 or more samples per shipment will receive a 10% discount.

Male Fertility Diagnostics offers the Sperm DNA Accelerated Decondensation (SDAD) and Sperm DNA Decondensation (SDD) tests, and Sperm Chromatin Fragmentation Assay (SCFA) in partnership with Unilab of Dade.

Sperm DNA Decondensation Test (SDD) and Sperm DNA Accelerated Decondensation (SDAD). Once a sperm has fertilized an egg, the DNA message must go through a transformation process in order for it to successfully combine with the egg's DNA message. The first step in this process is called decondensation. These tests assess whether or not the sperm DNA goes through the normal decondensation process. Failure to go through the normal process may result in a partially or completely unreadable DNA message, leading to an increased chance of early pregnancy loss or no pregnancy at all.
Sperm Chromatin Fragmentation Assay (SCFA). This test assesses the physical structure of sperm DNA. If there is too much damage (aka DNA breaks) to key parts of the DNA message, then it may be rendered either partially or completely unreliable and the pregnancy may terminate or not occur at all.
The MRHP detects the highest percentage of male factor infertility compared to any stand alone test. The SDAD Test will identify 6.9% of infertile couples as having male factor issues related to ROS damaged sperm. The combined use of the SDD Test and the SCFA will identify 41.9% of infertile couples as having compromised SPERM DNA INTEGRITY (21%) and/or SPERM FUNCTION issues related to pronucleus formation/DNA reformatting (20.9%). If just the SCFA is performed, only 21.0% of infertile couples with male factor infertility issues will be identified.
